How do we define Business strategy? Can IT be my Business Strategy? What should be the ideal time frame for a sound strategy? Will my Strategy be consistent enough 10 – 20 years down the line?  Should I challenge my own strategy ? If yes, how will the organization support this? Do I have a road map for all the products and services my business needs? Do I know how to integrate all my IT products to get a proficient IT System which can scale when time comes? Do I have a standardization approach that can be used to replicate my business model to help my business expand into untapped countries, cities and towns? Do I have the proper infrastructure to compete globally?

To answer these questions, it is imperative to develop an enterprise level architecture for the business. The benefits of an Enterprise Architecture are huge, such as:

   information resources

   business processes thereby reducing information systems complexity

   common goals and performance measures for all managers,
   to encourage cooperation and a healthy competition within the organization
5. It becomes the bridge between business and technical
   domains.

A good enterprise architecture brings important business benefits which clearly reflect in the bottom line of a company.
